Samsung has silently launched yet another smartphone in its Grand series. The handset, called Samsung Galaxy Grand Z, is available from The Mobile Store for Rs 18,499 and the e-retailer is also promising delivery in 1-2 days.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Z is placed between the Grand Quattro and Grand 2, which are available for about Rs 15,000 and Rs 22,000 respectively. And as its pricing suggests, the Grand Z also has better features than the Grand Quattro but is not that attractive as the Grand 2.
As per the listing, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Z comes with a 5 inch display but with only 480×800 pixels resolution. Also, it has the older Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and not the latest Android KitKat. It comes with a 1.2 GHz dual core processor; we hope it to be a good one and not a cheap dual core processor.
Other than the phone has decent features including 8 GB internal storage, 64 GB micro SD card slot, and 1 GB RAM. This 9.6 mm thick smartphone offers an 8 megapixel rear camera which is capable of recording full HD videos. There is an LED flash in the back panel as well while a 2 megapixel camera is in its front.
The 161 gram heavy Samsung Galaxy Grand Z has a 2100 mAh battery that promises 10 hours of talktime and 440 hours of standby over 3G networks. Besides, this dual SIM phone has WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB 2.0, and A-GPS with GLONASS (for navigation). The Grand Z has also a bunch of Sensors like accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.
