Samsung is reportedly planning to launch a new smartwatch, expected to be named as Samsung Gear S3, at IFA 2016 event which is to be held in Berlin from September 2-7.
According to Sammobile, the all new Gear S3 will come with a rotary bezel just like its Tizen OS running predecessor. It is also rumoured that, Samsung has filed a trademark for Gear S3 in South Korea. Reports claim that the upcoming smartwatch from Samsung will come with enhanced health and tracking features which will be compatible with Samsung Pay.
According to International Business Times, the device will come in two variants – a regular variant and a limited edition variant which is likely to be launched next year in March at an international watch and jewellery trade show in Bazel, Switzerland. This is because, Samsung has paired up with Swiss Jewellery and watchmaker De Grisogono for the limited edition.
The previous edition Gear S2 is currently available in India for Rs 23,500 but we can expect a price drop in near future as the launch date of the Gear S3 close in.
If launched, the Gear S3 will be competing with the 2nd generation Moto 360 which is available on Flipkart for Rs 18,999.
