Samsung Galaxy A70 receives a new update in India with September Android Security Patch

Samsung has started rolling out a new update to its latest Galaxy A70 smartphone in India. The latest update brings September Android security patch as well as bug fixes and improvements to the phone.

The new update improves the camera performance, better security and support for type-C headphones. This comes after the Night mode feature with a QR code scanner seeded on the device recently.

TizenHelp notes that the update also improves the performance of fingerprint recognition. Apart from these changes, the update also brings the usual bug fixes, device stability improvements and enhancing existing features.

The update comes with version numberA705GMDDU3ASI2 and it is around 648MB in size. Since it is rolling out via OTA, it may take several days to reach all the units. In order to check for the latest update, users can go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

To recall, the Galaxy A70 is equipped with a triple camera set up at the back panel, with a combination of 32MP primary, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 123-degree field-of-view and a 5MP depth-sensing camera. For the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The device comes running Android 9 Pie-based One UI and is backed up by a 4,500mAh battery. There’s a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
