Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) receives stable Android Pie update

Samsung has released an Over-The-Air(OTA) update for Galaxy A7 (2018) users and it carries build number A750FNPUU1BSC4 for the A7 (2018).

After rolling out Android Pie update to Galaxy A8+ (2018) and Galaxy A9 (2018) smartphones recently, Samsung is now rolling out the Android 9.0 Pie update to the Galaxy A7 (2018) smartphone. The update brings the latest One and the brand has started rolling out the update over-the-air currently in Russia.

SamMobile reports that Samsung has released an Over-The-Air(OTA) update for Galaxy A7 (2018) users and it carries build number A750FNPUU1BSC4 for the A7 (2018). The update also brings the February Android security patch level to the device. The new update also brings the OneUI to the table. With this, users can enjoy host of different features.

The latest UI features newly designed controls at the bottom with larger search box or text at the first half, which it claims will be easier to navigate as compared to its predecessor. Apart from this, users will be able to use new gesture controls, a new pill-shaped icon for navigations, refined notifications and Quick Settings, vertical volume controls and new power menu among others.

Since the update is being rolled out over-the-air, it may take some time before it comes to your device and will reach all the users in the coming weeks. One can also manually check for the update by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update. Before starting the update, your device should be at least 50% charged with a stable network.

To recall the specs, the Samsung Galaxy A7 was launched in India in two variants – 4GB RAM with 64GB storage priced at Rs 23,990 and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at Rs 28,990. It recently received a price cut after which the phone is now available at a reduced price of Rs 18,990 for the 4GB RAM and Rs 22,990 for the 6GB RAM option.

The device features a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2220 pixels) Infinity Display along with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an Exynos 7885 octa-core clocked at 2.2GHz. The smartphone comes in two memory configurations – 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage. Both the variants are further expandable up to 512GB via micro SD.
