HP has announced the launch of 2018 versions of its Omen 15 gaming laptop with thinner profile but with enhanced hardware.
It is said to be 7.4 percent less wide and 5 percent thinner than its predecessor. It weighs just 2.4 kgs. Also, the laptop has the latest 8th generation Intel Core i5+ and Core i7+ processors which are paired with the VR ready Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 with Max-Q GPU.
The HP Omen 15 comes with a 15.6-inch diagonal display which comes in 144Hz 1080p, 80Hz 4K, and 60Hz 1080p options. here’s a 32GB DDR4-2666 RAM onboard.
Being a gaming laptop, it has some special features also that include stereo speakers which are powered by Bang & Olufsen along and a discrete audio amplifier. It also supports DTS Headphone for simulated surround sound. It has dynamic bearing fans with larger fins than before to keep things cool. The storage capacity in the Omen 15 goes from SSD, HDD, SSD and HDD, or even HDD and Intel Optane Memory.
As per HP, the laptop will be available from July 29 on its website for a starting price of $979.99 (about Rs 66.100) while the top end model with the GTX 1070 Max-Q GPU and 4K screen priced at $1,699 (about Rs 114,500).
