Prior to the extensive launch of the JioGigaFiber service across the country, the price of its broadband-TV-landline combo services has now been leaked online. According to the new leak, Reliance Jio’s upcoming JioGigaFiber connection will allow users to access broadband, TV and landline services for a minimum payment of Rs 600 per month.
JioGigaFiber will offer the Rs 600 monthly plan as its cheapest plan offering all three services. This is expected to be charged alongside the Rs 2,500 security deposit which replaced the Rs Rs 4,500 security deposit that was announced in August last year. This makes sense since the Rs 2,500 security deposit will offer reduced speeds of 50Mbps as compared to the 100Mbps speeds offered with Rs 4,500 deposit.
The Rs 600 monthly plan will also be offer data speeds of up to 50 Mbps when using broadband while the 100Mbps plan is expected to cost around Rs 1,000 per month. The 50 Mbps plan will not only bring broadband services to JioGogaFiber but will also enable TV streaming through IPTV and unlimited calls through a landline.
The latest leak comes in like with an earlier LiveMint report which cited sources close to the development and said there will be a Rs 600 per month plan which will offer TV, broadband and landline services at the mentioned price.
It’s also expected that both the JioGigaFiber plans will come with data limits of 100GB and once that is consumed, users will have the option to top-up their account with 40GB more data through the MyJio app.
Reliance Jio is expected to launch its GigaFiber FTTH service in 1,600 cities across India at the same time after beta tests are successful at select cities. The company started testing a new Triple Play plan for its GigaFiber FTTH service earlier this year which offers a validity of 28 days with 100GB of data at 100Mbps.
