Realme X with pop-up selfie camera to launch soon

The Realme X smartphone is expected to launch in China in early May.

After making the immense impact in the Indian market, Oppo sub-brand Realme is gearing up to make inroads in the Chinese market with new Realme devices with two phones with model no RMX1851 and RMX1901 were spotted on TENAA recently. The company has now confirmed that it will launch a new smartphone soon known as Realme X

The company CMO Xu Qi has confirmed through its Weibo account that the Realme pop-up camera phone will be called as Realme X. Further, the post reads “full screen dare to leapfrog”, which confirms that Realme X will have a full-screen display. As of now, there is no information on when the company will launch Realme X in China and also if the device will make its way to the Indian market as well. However, the smartphone is expected to launch in China in early May.

Coming to the models that were spotted on TENAA, the RMX1851 looks identical to Realme 3 Pro, which was recently launched in India. However, RMX1901 will be altogether a new phone and it is highly likely that it will be Realme X. The TENAA listing reveals that the smartphone will have a 6.5-inch Full display with no notch. The phone is equipped with a dual rear camera setup placed vertically at the middle of the back panel.

The phone will be backed up by a 3,680mAh battery. It measures 161.2 x 76 x 9.4mm and will also have a 3.5mm jack. The images don’t reveal a fingerprint scanner at the back, which hints at the in-display fingerprint scanner will be loaded in this smartphone and might come with a pop-up selfie camera as well. The rear panel shows a gradient finish with black and blue colors.
