Realme 3 will arrive with Helio P70, dual rear cameras, diamond-cut design

The next Realme phone which we believe is the Realme 3, will come with a diamond-cut display bearing a similar resemblance to its first smartphone - the Realme 1. Besides that, the Realme 3 will come with a dual camera setup on the rear side, with two sensors aligned vertically.

It has only been a day since Realme started teasing about the successor to the Realme 2 as the company left a not so vague clue about what the upcoming smartphone will be labelled as. Realme has now started giving away bits and pieces of the Realme 3 now as we await its launch next month.

The next Realme phone which we believe is the Realme 3, will come with a diamond-cut display bearing a similar resemblance to its first smartphone – the Realme 1. In addition to a fibreglass design with diamond patterns at the back, the Realme 3 will come with a dual camera setup on the rear side, with two aligned vertically.

There’s also a circular fingerprint sensor at the centre of the back as well. Upon careful inspection of the teaser image, we can also notice that the device will also equip a 3.5mm jack at the bottom adjacent to the charging port, which we have no clue whether if it’s a micro-USB or USB port. On the edges, there’s a power button on the right side with volume rockers on the left edge.

The news comes from Realme Mobiles’ official Twitter account and read out loud that “Diamonds never go out of style”. With a teaser that has almost given away most of its design aspects, we can expect the Realme 3 to launch in a few weeks, possibly sometime in March.

Realme’s CEO, Madhav Sheth has also shared on Twitter that the Realme 3 will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 chipset. Sheth also stated that Realme decided to go with the Helio P70 over a Snapdragon 660 chip because the former offers 40 percent lower power consumption, 30 percent faster downloads and 3 percent better performance in multi-core.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Realme will introduce Realme 3 and Realme A1 in the first quarter of 2019. It was claimed that the Realme 3 was recently certified by Singapore’s IMDA certification agency with model number RMX1821. The company will also launch another smartphone with model number RMX1825, which could be none other Realme A1. The said smartphone is reported to be placed between Realme U1 and Realme 2.
