Realme plans to launch four smartphones in the next seven months in India and all the devices will be available for less than Rs 20,000.

Realme is gearing to launch its second smartphone -Realme 2, in India very soon. There is a possibility that the announcement might be made this month. The company had entered the Indian market in May this year.

Madhav Sheth, Chief Executive Officer, Realme India said to The Mobile Indian, "We will be launching Realme 2 very soon In India and it will be loaded with features that weren't made available in Realme 1." On the pricing, he said, "  We would be pricing it  in the affordable category because as a brand we want to focus on keeping aam aadmi  ( common man) happy."

He further added, "We constantly try to improve our product by incorporating features which our consumers demand from us.  Feedback from our consumers is very critical for us and we take it very seriously."

New features expected in Realme smartphones

                       Dual Camera, Selfie Flash

                      Notch and bigger display

                  Fingerprint sensor and Fast Charging

                          Mediatek Chipset

It may be recalled that Realme which until recently was known as sub-brand of Oppo is all set to establish as an independent company In India. Madhav said, "The move to separate was on the card for quite some time and the primary driver was to target a different set of audience/ customers which were not targeted by Oppo. Also, in an independent unit, one gets a lot of freedom to experiment without being burdened by expectation from a well-established brand."

As far as the customer care and after services are concerned, he said that even after separation we will be using the network of Oppo because it is already well established. He further added, "We will also be using the manufacturing unit of Oppo for future production of our smartphones."

Commenting on the role of BBK Electronics ( which initially invested in Vivo, followed by Oppo and then in OnePlus )  he said they are our investors too and that doesn't interfere with day to day affairs of the company or product development cycle.

Sharing future roadmap of smartphones, he said, " Realme 3, Realme 4 and Realme 5 are in the making, and all of them will be launched in a phased manner before March 2019. They will be priced less than Rs 20,000." He added, " We might also launch a smartphone under Android One Program in future but right now we don't have a timeline to share."

If we talk about the Realme 1 smartphone, It had an impressive design coupled with smooth performance and good battery output. On the downside, it was marred with poor outdoor visibility and lack of fingerprint sensor.
