Panasonic launches Toughpad FZ-A2 rugged tablet with 10.1-inch display

Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 is dust and water resistant, and has thus got IP65 certification.

Panasonic has launched its fully-rugged based Tablet FZ-A2 in Unites States. The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 tablet is priced at $2189 which is approximately Rs 1,49,378. The tablet was unveiled last year for European markets at 939 GBP ($ 1330) which is approximately Rs 89,400. The Toughpad FZ-A2 is now available in the United States for purchase.

The Toughpad FZ-A2 comes with a 10.1-inch (1920×1200 pixels) display with 10 finger multi touch and is powered by 2.44 GHz Intel Atom x5-Z8550 processor, which is paired with 4GB of RAM, and Intel HD graphics 400. The devices offers 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable via card. The device sport an 8-megapixel rear with LED flash and a 2-megapixel shooter on the front panel.

The tablet runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes preloaded with Android operating system. The Toughpad FZ-A2 offers up to nine hours of battery life with user replaceable battery. On the connectivity front, the device offers optional LTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), GPS, 4.2, a USB Type-C port and an HDMI port. The device is water and dust resistant and thus has got IP65 certification. It can also withstand drop tests to up to 120cm. The tablet is 16.4 mm thick and weighs 880 grams. The tablet is backed up by 2,720 battery should claims to offer up to 9 hours of average use.
