Oppo’s Vice President, Shen Yiren Brian, confirmed via Weibo post that company will be launching its latest smartphone in the first half of this year. The post reads “Really hammer, we still have a mobile phone to be released in the first half of the year, when it is bought, it will be secretly cool”.
Last week, a phone named Oppo K3 was spotted on China Telecom website’s product library confirming its full specifications. So we can assume that Oppo K3 might be the same smartphone that Oppo’s Vice President is teased about.
As per China Telecom website’s product library listing, Oppo K3 has a model number ‘PCGM00’ and will feature a 6.5-inch full HD+ display having 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. The smartphone will come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset, alongside 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the phone will sport dual rear camera setup with a combination of 16-megapixel as primary sensor and 2-megapixel as a secondary sensor. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie snapper.
Further, the listing reveals that the K3 will be priced at 2199 Yuan (approx. Rs 22,517) and will come in Nebula purple, black, and white colour options. It also uses a USB-C Type C port, an audio jack and it will support 20W fast charge.
However, as per the earlier leaked specs, Oppo K3 hints at 6.3-inch AMOLED notch-less display. The phone will have an in-display fingerprint scanner and it will sport a pop-up selfie camera. It will come in two memory variants – 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. The phone will get its juices from 3700mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging and will run Pie operating system with the latest ColorOS 6.0 U on top of it. The dimensions of the phone will reportedly be 161.2 x 76 x 9.4 mm, while the weight of the Oppo K3 is tipped to be 191 grams. Rest of specifications are similar to the above mentioned recent listing.
