Oppo A5 with 64GB of internal storage launched in India

Oppo has announced the launch of a new variant of its budget-centric smartphone, the Oppo A5. The new variant comes with a price tag of Rs 12,990 and it will be available for sale from online and offline sale channels.

With this, the smartphone is now available in 32GB and 64GB storage options. The company introduced the Oppo A5 in India last year for Rs 14,990 for 32GB storage variant. The brand then reduced the price of its smartphone by Rs 1,000 and it was available for Rs 13,990. Currently, the device is available for Rs 11,990 on online sale channels.

Apart from increased storage, other specifications remain the same. This means the smartphone features a 6.2-inch display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels along with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 87.9 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz along with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone is backed by a 3GB of RAM and comes with an expandable storage option of up to 256GB via card slot.

For optics, the Oppo A5 has dual rear cameras with a combination of 13-megapixel with flash, f/2.2 and 2-megapixel sensors with f/2.4 aperture. The device boasts an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture and beautify features which claim to recognize 296 facial features.

Oppo A5 is fueled by 4230mAh battery which claims to offer up to 14 hours of video playback and 11 hours of gaming playback. It runs 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1. On the connectivity front, it features dual-SIM support, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n ac, 4.2, GPS/A-GPS, 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio port. It comes with a dimension of 156.2 x 75.6 x 8.2 mm and it weighs 168 grams.
