Opera to unveils touch browser for tablets at CES 2011

Opera software announced on Monday that the company has been working on a browser for tablets, netbook and PC which will be unveiled at CES 2011.

Opera Software on Monday announced a new touch-based Opera for tablets which the company plans to preview at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

A video preview of the browser released by the company mentions only the OS. However, Android version is not stated.

Christen Krogh, chief development officer, Opera Software, “In 2011, tablets are a new must-have. Opera is creating waves with the first public preview of Opera for tablets.”

The touch enabled browser will work with netbook PCs as well.

Krogh added, “Opera for tablets brings the same trusted Internet experience to tablets and netbook PCs as users have come to love on their mobile phones and desktops.”
