OnePlus Care programme launched in India

OnePlus has today announced the launch of its new OnePlus Care service in India. The new service is now live and users can get 1 year of an extended warranty, 50 per cent off on battery replacement and upgrade plans.

The OnePlus Care programme offers can be availed by simply downloading the OnePlus Care from Google Play Store. For each OnePlus device owned, ie. each number will grant users access to benefits as applicable to the model. Phase I of the OnePlus Care Benefits program has already been rolled out with more benefits expected in the coming months.

To start with the benefits, customers opting for OnePlus 6T models and above will get free 1-year of extended warranty. Customers will also get 50 per cent off on the battery replacement. This means for OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, and OnePlus 6 users will have to pay Rs 600 for battery replacement. Furthermore, if the phone is under insurance protection, the battery will be replaced for free.

Moving on to upgrade plan, OnePlus says that users will get “competitive price for your old device and additional offer on the new one.” For the latest OnePlus 7 Pro, users will get up to Rs 32,200 trade-in value, while for OnePlus 7 the trade-in value will be up to Rs 21,700. Furthermore, for OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6, the trade-in value will be up to Rs 27,600 and Rs 17,400 respectively with an additional offer of Rs 1,500 each. For OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5, the trade-in value will be up to Rs 14,200 and up to Rs 11,900 respectively along with an additional offer of Rs 2,000 each.

The OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3T can upgrade to newer OnePlus smartphones with a trade-in value of up to Rs 7,800 and up to Rs 5400 respectively and users can also avail an additional offer of Rs 3,000 respectively on both the smartphones. Lastly, OnePlus One, OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X users can trade-in for recycling purchase, though they will not get any trade-in value. The additional offer is also valid on these devices, though it will depend on the condition of the smartphone.
