OnePlus 6 design leaked in new case renders revealing iPhone X-like notch, dual rear cameras

A popular case maker has revealed the design of the OnePlus 6 in new case renders.

OnePlus 6 is all set to launch sooner or later and rumours about the upcoming smartphone are on all-time high. Now, a popular case maker has revealed the design of the OnePlus 6 in new case renders.

As per the listings on Mobile Fun, different OnePlus 6 cases are now available for pre-order. The different cases reveal that smartphone’s key design language as well. To start with, the front bears a full-screen display, which has almost non-existent bezels around the edges and there is an iPhone X-like at the top that will house front-facing camera, earpiece and ambient light sensor.

On the left, there are volume controls and on the right one can see the repositioned new Red Alert Slider and just beneath it is the power on/off button. This is for the first time, the company has moved the Alert Slider to the right side and it might come with some camera-oriented functions as well. Interestingly, the back panel of the OnePlus 6 bears vertically-aligned dual rear cameras and there is an oddly-shaped fingerprint sensor just beneath it.

OnePlus has already confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will sport an iPhone X-like notch on the top. The brand has stressed that the notch present in its upcoming smartphone is different, ‘implemented with more thought and care’. OnePlus provided the precise measurements for its upcoming OnePlus 6 as 19.616mm x 7.687mm. Pei further added that OnePlus team has manually tested the top 1,000 apps from that would require compatibility mode with the notch.

Earlier, OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau, in a forum post, confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 6 will feature a massive 256GB of internal storage, making it company’s first phone to bear such large storage. Lau also confirmed that the phone will be backed by an 8GB of RAM. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
