Installing this update would enable iPhone and iPad users running iOS 10 to book a ride just by saying "Hey Siri, get me an Olacab".
India's own famous cab facility provider, Ola, today rolled out a new update for iOS10 integrating Siri and Apple Maps. Installing this update would enable iPhone and iPad users running iOS 10 to book a ride just by saying "Hey Siri, get me an Olacab". Ola claims that this is by far the most convenient way of booking a cab.
Moreover, users can even select the cab options such as Ola Micro, Mini, Prime or Lux. In addition to this, one can also book a cab without even opening up the app and can get details like ride's progress and ride estimates all at the notification centre. The app is also available for Apple Watch.
Speaking on the development, Ankit Bhati, Co-Founder and CTO, Ola, said, "Technology is at the core of all our solutions aimed at providing enhanced mobility to our customers. Integrating our app with iOS 10 is a step towards redefining customer experience. We are proud to be one of the early adopters of Sirikit and Mapkit in the world and we are confident that customers using Apple devices will benefit from this refreshed experience." He further added, "With this update, Apple users will also get access to Ola directly from Apple Maps when searching for their destination."
Ola further stated: "Mobility needs in India are constantly evolving and innovation is at the heart of the solutions being built to solve for these needs. Ola's understanding of India and its customers enables it to roll out innovative solutions that help it stay ahead of the curve. Ola's mission of building mobility for a billion Indians is aided by a focused approach on delivering seamless customer experiences through innovative use of technology."
