At the annual Computex conference in Taipei, NVIDIA has announced the Turing architecture-based Quadro GPUs for mobile workstations. The new line of GPUs features the Quadro RTX 5000, Quadro RTX 4000 and Quadro RTX 3000 GPUs which are built to deliver desktop-level performance in a mobile form factor.
The Quadro RTX 5000 will offer up to 3,072 CUDA cores and 48 Ray Tracing cores, 384 Tensor cores and will be available with up to 16GB GDDR6 VRAM. While the RTX 5000 is on par with the P5200 on performance, the RTX is based on Turing architecture while the P5200 is Pascal-based.
Nvidia is offering a set of 17 laptops across seven vendors with the new Quadro GPUs, all of which will be branded with the RTX Studio title. The laptops will come with NVIDIA Studio Stack to speed up video editing, rendering and vector animation.
The RTX 3000 and 4000 GPUs will come in 6GB and 8GB GDDR6 RAM configurations. The 3000 series will come with 36 RT cores and 288 Tensor cores while the 4000 will equip 40 RT cores and 320 Tensor cores.
Laptops powered by the latest Nvidia Quadro RTX series mobile graphics will be available in June from several manufacturers including ASUS, Dell, HP, MSI, Razer, Gigabyte and Acer.
Prior to this,NVIDIA announced the GeForce GTX 1650 and 1660Ti mobile GPUs last month.The GTX 1650 uses Nvidia’s TU117 Turing GPU architecture and comes with twice as much performance as the four-year-old GeForce GTX 950 and up to 70 percent more performance than the GTX 1050.
