Chainfire, an developer, has developed a new application that makes it easy for people to control professional DSLR cameras through their devices.

The DSLR controller application just requires a DSLR camera and an Android device with the application preinstalled on it and a cable to make things work. The application brings the controls of the camera right on the screen of the Android powered device in an easy to understand interface and with all the touch screen goodness.

The benefit of having this application is that it allows the users to control the camera through the device as a remote control while using the real time video feed from the DSLR to control the picture and its details.

Though not free but considering the works that the application does, advanced or professional users will not mind paying for it especially since the app comes with a lifetime update and bug fix promise.

The application is going through its beta phase right now and is available for download from the Android Marketplace for Rs 380. This application will automatically be upgraded to full version once it comes in the market.

The developers have not made an ad supported version of this application as it meant for serious and professional users who would not like the idea of advertisements popping up while they work around with the shots.

The application is compatible with smartphones running on Android 2.3.3 and up and Android based tablets with version 3.1 and above. The list of supported cameras for the beta version include – Canon EOS 600D, 550D, 60D, 50D, 7D, 5D mk II and 1D mk IV.
