It seems HMD Global is all set to make all Nokia branded smartphones to be safe and updated with the latest Android OS. The company responsible for handling future Nokia-branded devices has said that the upcoming Nokia devices will come ‘the latest and safest Android OS’.
In a reply to NokiaPowerUser about company’s future off rolling out Android OS update, HMD has confirmed that their ambition is to always use the latest and safest Android OS. This all started when the folks at NPU asked questions to find out how the company plans to roll out updates and for how long its smartphone lineup will get the latest updates. The company further reverted that they will share more information in the first half of 2017.
Nokia smartphones have become one of the hottest topics of the tech town. Nokia 6, the first smartphone developed by HMD Global got some rave response in China and with the company slated to release more smartphones during the Mobile World Congress (2017), it is safe to say that Nokia is all set for a grand comeback.
But with every other manufacturer, HMD has a major challenge of rolling out Android OS updates timely ahead of them. It would be interesting to see, whether the company will able to roll out timely updates or not.
