HMD Global has already scheduled its launch event on February 25th, just ahead of MWC 2018 event which will be held from February 26 to March 01 this year. In the event, the company is expected to launch Nokia 9 and Android Oreo (Go Edition) based Nokia 1, Nokia 4, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 (2018). Now ahead of the event, a HMD smartphone with model number TA-1005 has surfaced online and it has been trademarked as Nokia 8 Sirocco.
As per a report of Mobielkopen, the Nokia 8 Sirocco might be announced at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The Nokia TA-1005 was certified by the FCC in December last year and was said to the Nokia 9. But this new report says that the Nokia device is indeed Nokia 8 Sirocco. It is said that the Nokia 8 Sirocco is an upgraded variant of the Nokia 8.
According to the rumours, the Nokia 8 Sirocco will feature a 5.5-inch OLED display. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 Chipset and it will be backed up by a 3,250mAh non-removable battery. It is said to be featuring a dual camera setup of 13 and 12-megapixel rear camera sensors while it will boast a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Nokia 8 Sirocco will allegedly ship with 128GB of native storage, and sport 6GB of RAM on the inside.
Nokia 9 is also a subject of various leaks and rumours for a long time now. Based on the leaks so far, the Nokia 9 device is expected to feature a 5.5-inch QHD bezel-less display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. Other than this, the device is expected to powered by Snapdragon 835 Processor and will run on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. Additionally, the device will come with 6/8GB RAM along with 64/128GB of storage space. The smartphone will be backed up by a 3800mAH battery with Qualcomm Quick-Charge 4 support.

On the camera front, the smartphone will sport a 12-megapixel dual Carl-Zeiss rear camera and a 12-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The smartphone is also said to house a fingerprint scanner and will also feature an Iris Scanner as well. Further, the Nokia 9 will have IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. As for the dimensions, the Nokia 9 is said to measure 140.9 mm in length, 72.9 mm in width and 7.5 mm in depth.
