Nimbuzz gets video chat and calling for iPhone

The new Nimbuzz update brings video calling and chatting for both PC and iPhone users.

Nimbuzz, a cross platform messenger application and service provider, has announced the roll out of an updated application for iPhone and PC users. With the use of this new application two users will be able to make video calls right from within the Nimbuzz application, without paying any additional video calling charges.

Users will be able to make and receive video based calls both over WiFi and networks. And along with that the new application will also allow users to make use of the video calling and texting feature of the Nimbuzz application using a 2G network as well.

Commenting on the occasion, Jamshed V Rajan, country manager, Nimbuzz India, said, “At Nimbuzz, we believe in providing the best possible communication platform for our users. With 3G becoming popular and with smartphones with front cameras in vogue it was only natural for us to get into video calling. In fact, we have done one better by introducing a video chat as well wherein users share the video streams with each other but communicate by text.”

Along with this launch Nimbuzz has made clear its plans regarding Symbian and devices and soon we can expect to see video supporting Nimbuzz applications for both Symbian and Android based devices as well.

The updated Nimbuzz mobile can be downloaded from Apple’s App store. Users can locate the application through their phones or, alternatively, can also follow this link to download application.
