New Huawei tablet with model number BG2-U01 gets TENAA certification

The tablet is backed up by a 4000mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

Huawei launched MediaPad T3 7.0 back in April this year. Now seems the company is working on a new variant of the tablet as an unannounced tablet with the model number of BG2-U01 has been spotted on the website of Chinese certification agency TENAA. The listing not only has images of the phone but it also carries the detailed specifications of the device.

As per the listing, Huawei BG2-U01 features a 7-inch display that has (1024×600 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core which is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via card. The tablet is backed up by a 4000mAh battery and runs on 7.0 Nougat operating system.

On the camera front, the Huawei BG2-U01 sports a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera in the front as well. The dimensions of the tablet are 187.6 x 103.7 x 8.6 mm and it weighs 275 grams. The device is listed in Streamer gold and sky gray colours. include Gravity sensor, distance sensor and light sensor.

Moreover, the tablet with model number BG2-U01 has also received WiFi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA) with the name Huawei Media T3 7 which has further strengthened the possibility of the new variant of the tablet. As per the certification, the Huawei tablet will support single-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n (2.4GHz) and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity features. Sadly, the listing does not show any specifications except that the device will be powered by the Android operating system without mentioning the version of Android. The listing carries the certification ID WFA72908 and the date of certification being 25th July 2017.

To recall, Huawei MediaPad T3 7 features a 7-inch IPS display with a of 1024 x 600 pixels offering a density of 170ppi. Underneath, the device is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MTK MT8127 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali 450 GPU. The tablet comes with two storage options, one with 1GB RAM with 8GB internal storage and the other with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Both the variants offer expandable storage slot of 64GB capacity. The MediaPad T3 7 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with EMUI 4.1 on top of it.

For the optics, the tablet sports a 2-megapixel camera in its rear panel while a 2-megapixel front camera as well. The MediaPad T3 packs a powerful 3,100 battery. Connectivity options include 4G/LTE, WiFi 802.11b/g/n/ac, 4.0 and GPS. The tablet will also be available in the WiFi-only variant. The tablet measures 179 x 103.68 x 8.6 mm and weighs 250 grams.
