MTNL offers up to 120GB free data for one year to prepaid users with active broadband connection

Dubbed as “Broadband-GSM Companion Scheme”, users will get 5GB of data per month with five years of validity. Users who have a monthly bill between Rs 600 and Rs 799 will get 5GB per month for one year on the SIM. Users with a monthly plan of more than Rs 800 will get 10GB of free data on the SIM for one year.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has announced a new offer for its users who are using company’s services. The brand is offering up to 120GB of free data to the prepaid users that have an active broadband connection.

According to a report by TelecomTalk, MTNL is giving a free card to all its existing and new broadband customers. However, users need to have a subscription of more than Rs 600 per month in order to avail this offer.

The plan is dubbed as “Broadband-GSM Companion Scheme” and under this, users will get 5GB of data per month with five years of validity. Users who have a monthly bill between Rs 600 and Rs 799 will get 5GB per month for one year on the SIM. Users with a monthly plan of more than Rs 800 will get 10GB of free data on the SIM for one year. This makes a total count of 120GB of data for one year. After the data is exhausted, users will have to pay 3 paise per 10KB.

The report further highlights that the service charge levied for My Group will be Rs 20. Users will be charged 1 paise per 12 seconds, while the will be charged 10 paise per SMS. Call charges to mobile phones, local and STD network, will be charged 1 paisa per second and landline calls will be billed at 2 paise per second. Similarly, local SMS will be charged at 50p/SMS, Re 1 per SMS for national, and Rs 5 per SMS for International.
