Public sector telecom operator, MTNL (Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd) has announced the launch of a new SMS and web based booking for landline and Broadband connections. Now users who wish to get a new landline or broadband connection from MTNL can do it with greater ease while relaxing at home without having to visit MTNL offices or giving physical applications whatsoever.
Customers based in Delhi will have to send a text message “MTNL†to 98685 52121 (Normal SMS rates applicable) from any mobile number to initiate the process and show their interest in the service. Users can also make use of the online portal as well by providing their contact details through online website as well at mtnldelhi.in for Delhi based customers while Mumbai based customers can use the website mtnlmumbai.in for the same.
Once the details with the interest shown is received by the company the same is then handled by the sales department who then call the interested person for a meeting and suitable time to collect all the required paperwork from the customer’s address.
As a bonus, MTNL is also offering Rs 200 discount on the installation charges for customers who opt for the new online booking method to book their landline or broadband connection with MTNL. Although, the service is only applicable for landline and broadband connections as of now, but it is expected to extend forward covering other products as well in the future.
