Motorola Moto Z4 announced with Snapdragon 675, in-display fingerprint sensor

The Moto Z4 equips a 6.39-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, a waterdrop notch, 1,000,000: 1 contrast ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 85 percent. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a 3,600 mAh battery.

Motorola has unveiled the Moto Z4 as its latest mid-range smartphone and continued support for Moto Mods. the successor to the Moto Z3 which was launched last year also comes with 5G connectivity through a Moto Mod and an in-display fingerprint sensor which is a first in the Z lineup. The Moto Z4 will be available for a price of $499 (approx. Rs 34,800) from June.

The Moto Z4 equips a 6.39-inch FHD+ display with a of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, a waterdrop notch, 1,000,000: 1 contrast ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 85 percent. The display is also certified with VDE blue light hazard safety for minimising the emission of blue light that doesn’t strain your eyes. The front panel is protected by a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 protection and the phone is housed inside a 6000 series polished aluminium frame and P2i splash-proof nano-coating.

Motorola’s latest mid-ranger is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and external card support. The device is fuelled by a 3,600 battery with a 15W USB-C which Motorola says will last you up to 2 days.

For the camera, the Z4 houses a 48MP f/1.7 main camera with optical image stabilisation. The main sensor like any 48MP sensor works on the basis of the Quad Bayer colour array which results in 12MP shots. There’s also a Night Vision mode for low light photography and a 25MP camera on the front for selfies and video calling.

Interestingly, the Moto Z4 comes with an in-display fingerprint reader and a 3.5mm jack. The phone runs on 9 Pie with a near-to-stock build with the regular set of Moto Actions. The Z4 will support all Moto Mods old and new and users can also upgrade the connectivity on the phone to 5G with the 5G Moto Mod.

Connectivity options include 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Dual band, 2.4 & 5GHz Hotspot, 5.0, LTE, and GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, Galileo. The Z4 weighs in at 165 grams and measures 75 x 158 x 7.35mm.

The Moto Z4 will be available in Frost White and Flash Gray colours for a price of $499 (approx. Rs 34,800) from June.
