Motorola is all set to launch a new smartphone on June 6, which is reported to be none other than the Moto Z3 Play. Now, just ahead of official launch, a new set of images have surfaced online, revealing some key information about the upcoming device.
The leaked images, which was obtained by XDA Developers, shows off the design of the Moto Z3 Play. Interestingly, the picture also reveals a new 5G Moto Mod for the upcoming device. This could be interesting as the mod could allow users to taste the speed of 5G networks without waiting for ages. However, it is not known the functionality of the new 5G Moto Mod.
Coming to the device, the leaked images are in line with previous leaks. The front comes with a tall display, with minimal side bezels, though the top and bottom bezels are quite noticeable. The bottom of the screen shows gesture-oriented navigation controls, which could a new addition from Moto.
Meanwhile, some key specifications and features of the upcoming smartphone was leaked online. As per a report by XDA Developers, the Moto Z3 Play will feature an aluminium body with 2.5D curved glass at the front. The smartphone will feature a 6.0-inch Full HD+ Max Vision AMOLED display, with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.
Moto Z3 Play is reported to come in different editions that will feature with different Moto Mods. The phone could come with Moto Z ‘Power’ Edition with Battery Moto Mod, Style Edition with Style Shell, Gamepad Edition with Gamepad Mod and Moto Z ‘Projection’ Edition that will come loaded with Projector Mod.
The phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which hints that it could be a mid-range smartphone. Further, on the camera front, there will be two 12-megapixel sensors at the back out of which one could be meant for low-light. For the front, there will be an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The internal document hints that the smartphone will come portrait mode in both front and back cameras along with spot colour mode, cutout mode scan text and manual mode.
The smartphone will run on near-stock experience and it comes loaded with some slew of features like Moto Display, Moto Experiences, Moto Voice, face unlock and more. Interestingly, the smartphone will come loaded with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which is pretty common in Sony devices.
