Microsoft has formally introduced its new flagship tablet, named as Surface Pro 3. It is claimed to be 30 percent thinner than an 11-inch MacBook Air. Price of new Microsoft Surface Pro 3 starts from $799 or Rs 46,000 approximately and it will be offered in multiple configurations featuring 4th-generation Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors.
Sadly, India is not in the list of first batch of countries where the tablet will be launched. The Surface Pro 3 will first be made available in June 20 in Canada and the United States and by the end of August, it will become available for purchase in 26 additional markets, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and the United Kingdom. This means that the tablet perhaps won’t be launched in India in this year itself. It is to be noted that Microsoft similarly launched the previous Surface series tablets after a long time, much later their global release.
