Micromax yesterday announced the launch of a iOne smartphone in the budget segment to take on the other offerings in the market for Rs 4,999. Today we are presenting a comparison between Infinix Smart 3 Plus which comes at a price of Rs 6,999 with Micromax iOne. So, naturally, the question here is which one is better?
The comparison of both the phones has been done on the basis of their features and specification only. Design and Display
The Micromax iOne has a wide notch up top, and a considerable chin at the bottom of the display. The phone features a single rear camera setup and a matte plastic back panel. On the other hand, Infinix Smart 3 Plus comes with a glossy finish at the back panel, which is equipped with a mirror finish. This certainly gives a premium look in this budget phone. Obviously, Infinix phone has a more appealing look than the Micromax with its glossy finish. Micromax iOne sports a 5.45-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 540 X 1132 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. The difference is pretty much clear here. The display present on the Smart 3 Plus in no doubt better in terms of resolution. This one also comes with a larger display with small waterdrop style notch housing the front camera as well. So people who like a big display phone with drop notch can opt for Smart 3 Plus while small display lovers with simple phone design and a standard notch can buy the Micromax iOne smartphone.

Micromax iOne is powered by the Unisoc SC9863 octa-core Processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Internal storage is at 16GB with the option to expand further up to 128GB using a microSD card slot. The Infinix Smart 3 Plus is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor clocked at 2.0GHz along with IMG PowerVR. The phone is backed by a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
The Micromax iOne is priced at Rs 4,999 and is Rs 2,000 cheaper than Infinix Smart 3 Plus which retails at Rs 6,999. In terms of performance, the MediaTek Helio A22 clearly has an upper hand here over Infinix Smart 3 Plus with a relatively powerful chipset. But on the other hand, Smart 3 Plus comes with better storage option as compared to the Micromax iOne.

Infinix Smart 3 Plus runs on Android 9.0 Pie with company’s XOS running on top of it. On the other hand, the Micromax iOne also runs on Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box. Since both the phones run on Android 9.0 Pie topped over by their respective skins, there is nothing to compare about. The choice of the user interface is a personal choice.

Camera
On the camera front, the Micromax iOne sports a 5-megapixel rear sensor with flash support and a 5-megapixel front camera as well for selfies and video calling. The Infinix Smart 3 Plus features a triple-camera setup at the back panel. The phone is equipped with a 13-megapixel primary lens with f/1.8 Aperture along with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor coupled with a low light sensor. For the front, it is equipped with an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.
Going by the sheer specifications, the Infinix Smart 3 Plus seems to be a better option as the users are getting not one or two but three cameras. The Micromax iOne, sadly, features a single-camera setup. Infinix Smart 3 Plus has a clear EDGE over the Micromax iOne here with better cameras.

Battery and Connectivity
Battery life is one of the most looked after aspect while buying a smartphone. Micromax iOne is backed up by a 2200 mAh battery while the Infinix Smart 3 Plus is loaded with a 3500mAh battery. Once again, Infinix Smart 3 Plus emerges as a clear winner with a better battery backup. Meanwhile, in terms of connectivity, both these devices comes with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS with A-GPS, Micro USB 2.0 etc. So nothing much to compare in connectivity part. Infinix Smart 3 Plus has an advantage of a fingerprint sensor at the rear which is missing in Micromax phone.

To sum up, the answer is pretty clear now. Infinix Smart 3 Plus overshadows Micromax iOne with a better display, triple camera setup and more battery. The Infinix phone might be Rs 2,000 costlier than Micromax iOne but it beats the Micromax down on several counts and thus worth the extra bucks. For our verdict, we would suggest that you go with Infinix Smart 3 Plus as your budget smartphone.
