The Meizu M6s has been surfacing online via several leaks for the past few weeks now. Meizu was expected to hold an event on December 20 in China but now the launch has been postponed to January. The phone has now appeared in a hands-on video revealing its screen, the back panel, and the right side, via PlayfulDroid.
The video is 8 sec long and it shows the Meizu M6S sporting 18:9 display with tiny bezels on top and bottom. It will not feature a front or rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and instead, it seems to feature fingerprint scanner located on the right edge. The rear camera is not shown in the video and there is “mblu by Meizu” branding at the bottom of the back side of the device. For unintended, mBlu is a sub-brand of Meizu and it is now expected that Meizu M6S could be a part mBlu series of phones. You can see the video below:
As for hardware specifications, the hands-on video didn’t reveal any details. As per earlier rumours, Meizu M6S will feature Samsung’s Exynos 7872 SoC instead of MediaTek MT6793 SoC which was reported in an earlier leak. The Samsung Exynos 7872 chipset is an upcoming chipset that it will be manufactured using the 14nm FinFET LLP (low power plus) process. Exynos 7872 will reportedly feature six cores with four Cortex-A53 cores meant for power efficiency while remaining two Cortex-A73 cores will be meant for performance. However, the maximum clock frequencies are not known at the moment. The upcoming SoC will come loaded with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU, which is found on the Exynos 7870 processor.
