MapmyIndia, the mapping and navigational solutions provider has released yet another App – NaviMaps that aides to the frequent travelers and globe trotters. The new NaviMaps app offers turn-by-turn navigation with voice guidance in ten different regional languages. The NaviMaps app is already available for the Google Android based devices. MapmyIndia plans to release the same app for the iOS and Windows Phone platform in near future.
NaviMaps is a free to download app but it also combines in-app purchases for the users to get some additional information. The NaviMaps basically offers maps as well as directions on the maps – free for life. However, if you wish to enjoy turn-by-turn navigation powered by voice guidance, the in-app purchase worth Rs 299 is being offered.
The voice guidance currently supports ten different regional languages for the Indian audience. This is one of the rare times when average user can enjoy the directions in regional language or help the driver navigate easily. The app offers three alternative routes to the fed destination and at any point of time, the app can auto re-route just incase there is a traffic jam or road is blocked.
Apart from the Social Navigation feature allows sharing the location and route to the social networking websites.
