Logitech launches a gaming keyboard and headset in India

Expanding its G Prodigy series of gaming accessories, G213 Prodigy RGB Gaming Keyboard and G231 Prodigy Gaming Headset is priced at Rs 4,995 and Rs 6,495 respectively.

Back in September 2016, Logitech introduced its new G Prodigy series focusing on gaming accessories. Yesterday, the company launched two new accessories – G213 Prodigy RGB Gaming Keyboard and G231 Prodigy Gaming Headset. While the keyboard is priced at Rs 4,995, the gaming headset comes in at a price of Rs 6,495 and both will be available for purchase from tomorrow i.e. 10th November.
Focusing on some of the specifications, the G213 RGB Gaming Keyboard comes with Mech-Come keys, 1.8 m long wire, spill-resistant design which can take up to 60ml liquid spillage and most importantly five individual lighting zones for the back-lit keys with up to 16.8 million colours. There is also a palm rest and adjustable feet for customizing as per preference. Unfortunately, there are no default programmable keys but one can add functions like macros via Logitech Gaming Software. Boasting about the Mech-Dome keys, Logitech claims that keys on the G213 Keyboard offer the best of both the worlds i.e. membrane as well as mechanical keyboards. With a travel distance of 4mm and actuation force of 50g, the G213 is touted to offer a report rate of about 32ms compared to 8s on standard keyboards.
The G231 Prodigy Gaming Headset also comes with some unique features. Compatible with Windows PCs, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, these headsets come with 40mm neodymium drivers. However, to connect Xbox One controllers one need to have a separate headset adapter. In terms of the design, the headset is quite lightweight with lay-flat earpieces that can swivel up to 90-degrees offering next level portability as well as comfort. Jumping into the technical details, the G231 has a frequency response of 20Hz-20KHz, an impedance of 32 Ohms, and a weight of 255 grams without cables. There is a 2 meter cable and couple of 3.5 mm headphone jack with a microphone. Overall, Logitech claims that these headsets offer high-performance with high comfort level, Thanks to those ear-cups made out of sports mesh cloth which is washable.
