At a time when Apple was working on iPhone 4S, LG is reportedly to have been working on displays for an iPad with 7.35 inch screen and for the next iPhone as well.
The Korean Times quoting its sources said, “Next year’s iPhone to feature a 4 inch display by LG Display, half an inch larger than the 3.5 inch display and retina display resolution will remain unchanged because LCD is currently being regarded as the right solution to offer value with better cost-cuts.”
It is expected the new iPad will come out with Retina Display resolution though apart from LG, Samsung may also be involved in the display manufacturing process.
However, neither Apple nor LG has issued any official comment in this regard yet.
