LG is reportedly working on the next-generation of smartwatches with new Wear OS platform. The brand is working on the successor of LG Sport and LG Style smartwatches.
According to a report by ETNews, the company would officially introduce the new smartwatches next month. The report highlight that the new smartwatch from LG will bear a model number LM-W315. To recall, the smartwatch with the same model number was listed on FCC filing document.
The report highlight that the smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor along with 768MB of RAM. The wearable will be backed by a 4GB of internal storage and it will feature a 1.2-inch display. Moving on, the watch will feature IP68 certification making it waterproof and dustproof. The report further highlights that the smartwatch does not support GPS and NFC. Lastly, the watch is reported to come in Aurora Black and Cloud Silver colour options and it is expected to be priced between $300 and $400.
LG is all set to unveil a new hybrid smartwatch soon, or if rumours are anything to be believed. According to AndroidHeadlines, the LG Watch Timepiece will be LG’s take on a hybrid smartwatch that runs on Wear OS out of the box and will bring the best of both worlds; analogue and digital.
