Kingston launches USB Flash drive with an alphanumeric keypad

DataTraveler 2000 is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage variants.

Kingston has unveiled its new Flash drive, DataTraveler 2000 (DT2000) in India today. The DataTraveler 2000 comes with an keypad making it easy to lock your drive. The drive is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants for Rs 10,000, Rs 14,000 and Rs 18,000 respectively through both, retail and online stores.

DataTraveler 2000 offers hardware and PIN protection with access through its built-in alphanumeric keypad. The keyboard allows you to lock the drive with a (word or number combination) and it self-destructs after 10 invalid login attempts. It also comes with auto-lock feature which gets activated when the drive is removed from any device.

The drive is compatible with multiple devices and operating systems and features hardware-based, full disk AES 256-bit data encryption in XTS mode. That means no software or hardware drivers are needed on the host device. It’s FIPS 197 certified, to meet a frequently requested corporate IT requirement, and its durable design protects the drive from everyday elements such as water and dust.
