Jaguar has just revealed the all the Jaguar F-Pace SVR at the 2018 New York Auto Show. The car is expected to start at £75,000 or Rs. 68 Lakhs.It has been engineered by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division.
The company claims that will the fastest and the most powerful F-Pace yet. It comes with an enhanced chassis and aerodynamics and the car is powered by a 5-litre V8 supercharged petrol engine producing 542 horsepower and a massive 680 Nm of torque. This is 44 percent more power output as compared to the standard F-Pace. The car is capable of going 0-100kmph in 4.3 seconds.
The car is electronically limited to a top speed of 283kmph. It also comes with a Sports Shift Selector for more responsive gear shifts. Both the front and the rear have progressive springs that are 30 percent and 10 percent stiffer respectively. The car also has an anti-roll bar specification that helps in reducing the body roll by 5 percent. The suspension also has an optimised Adaptive Dynamic technology to make the car more sporty. The car gets all-wheel drive, all surface progress control along with an adaptive surface response.
Jaguar F-Pace SVR also gets a lot of advanced safety and driving features. It is the first car from Jaguar to get EAD (Electronic Active Differential) and IDD (Intelligent Driveline Dynamics) for sharper throttle response. You also get an Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) for increased steering response along with SVR’s very own Dynamic Driving Mode. Dynamic mode helps the driver to have a more engaged driving experience in all conditions. It will be offered with a set of lightweight forged allow wheels in two sizes, 21 and 22 inches.
On the outside, it looks pretty similar to the standard beautiful F-Pace. However, they are certain visual updates to help you distinguish the more powerful SVR variant. This includes a larger air intake up front along with vents on the side fenders. All this lower the pressure on wheel arches and improve the car’s aerodynamics. It also reduces lift and provides the additional cooling required to keep the massive engine cool. It also helps in improving the high-speed stability of the vehicle. The car gets the signature SVR treatment starting with the bonnet that features vents that help extract hot air and keep the engine running cool. The new wheel arch extensions and underbody cladding give the car a muscular appeal. The rear also features a new bumper that houses the quad tailpipes. The car comes with a Variable Valve Active Exhaust System that offers a very loud exhaust note at all times.
On the inside one can find a lot of new features. To start with the front seats feature the SVR logo and are now slimmer to add to the sporty nature of the car. One can also find aluminium paddle shifters that are mounted on the SVR branded steering wheel. Behind the steering wheel is a 12.3-inch high definition instrument cluster.At the centre, the car gets a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen. The car is also equipped with 4G and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities that can take up to eight devices. The car has four different interior trim options- Red with Jet, Light Oyster with Jet, Siena Tan with Jet and Light Oyster stitching.
