Ivona software, a company that specialises in the text to voice solutions, has launched a new text to voice App for Android. Currently the app is in beta stays.
The company says that the new app offers much louder and clearer speech, and is more accurate and with better pronunciation. At 3.5 MB, the application is almost 10 time lighter than its earlier version.
The application is intended to help people drive safely by listening hands-free to navigation and text messages, to enjoy e-books while “on the road”, to the many work and recreational activities popular with today’s mobile, multitasking consumer.
It is also aimed at application developers who want to incorporate text to voice capability in their application.
The application is available for free during the beta test. You can visit mobile.ivona.com to download the application. The application works well for English text however Hindi or other Indian languages are not supported right now.
