The iPad 2 camera is the most unused one, Flickr has said. The photo sharing website, which tracks the camera usage by users by detecting the devices used in clicking the photos, said the iPad2 camera is way too low on its list behind iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4.
The iPad2 comes with low resolution, and the pictures are especially bad when taken in low light conditions. Just after the launch, the iPad2 cameras quickly became famous for all the wrong reasons.
Its picture quality was panned by several websites in the past as well.
The low rating by Flicker could be attributed to the fact that tablets are not convenient for taking pictures, many who have used tablets as camera say it is awkward. Probably that is the reason Apple chose to use low Resolution cameras in the iPads, but this is just a speculation.
The iPhone cameras are more popular, which is understandable, since there are more iPhones out there in the market.
The iPad2 has not been in the market for a long time and till now very few numbers of the device has been sold compared to its competitors.
The cameras provided by Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab and RIM PlayBook are better than that of iPad 2.
