IndusInd Bank mobile banking service

The application, IndusMobile, will allow customers to bank anytime anywhere through their mobile phone.

IndusInd Bank has launched a mobile banking application called IndusMobile. The application will allow customers to bank anytime anywhere through their mobile phone.

Customers can access information and transact at no cost charged by the bank. However, data charges by the mobile operator will be applicable. Customers will also be able to book movie tickets, pay their bills and even perform mobile to mobile fund transfers, NEFT and RBI’s Inter-bank mobile payment service (IMPS). In fact, this service is better than NEFT as it works round the clock.

IndusInd Bank is the only bank in India which allows card-less cash withdrawal transactions through the mobile application, which means the beneficiary can withdraw cash from select IndusInd Bank ATMs without using an ATM or debit card.

IndusMobile application is a fast, easy and secure mobile banking service. It is a downloadable application which is light and easy to install on the phone.

Those who do not wish to download and install the may use the SMS channel for using IndusMobile. Customers can register at an IndusInd branch or at ATMs, by net banking or at call centres or just by sending an SMS. All transactions would be authorised by a four digit MPIN ensuring two-layer security. The MPIN can be used on a GSM connection through or SMS. Select CDMA handsets are also supported.

Speaking about the launch, Sumant Kathpalia, head of consumer banking at IndusInd Bank, said, “IndusMobile is a comprehensive mobile banking platform that enables our customers to manage their banking needs with incredible ease. This new application will serve as a key customer touch point that complements the bank’s physical branch network”.

He further added, “With mobile phones becoming an integral part of our lives, IndusMobile will provide a safe, secure and personalised service delivery channel for the bank to reach out to its customers.”

The mobile application will allow features like balance enquiry, mini statement, intrabank funds transfer, mobile to mobile funds transfer, mobile to account funds transfer, net electronic funds transfer (NEFT), interbank mobile payment service (IMPS), Visa credit card bill payment, mobile payments and more.

You can also find out your cheque’s status, stop cheque requests, and also offline requests (cheque book, debit card, DD, statement).
