IFA 2019: Acer launches Swift 5, ConceptD Pro, Chromebooks, Nitro monitors, Portable LED Projector

Acer has announced a new range of laptops, Chromebooks, monitors, projector and an Esports Platform at the IFA 2019 conference in Berlin, Germany.

At the IFA 2019 conference in Berlin, Germany, Acer has announced a new range of laptops, Chromebooks, monitors, projector and an Esports Platform. The list of new products include the new Acer Swift 5, Swift 3, Aspire C AiOs, ConceptD 9 Pro, ConceptD 7 Pro, ConceptD 5 Pro, ConceptD 3 Pro, ConceptD 5 / ConceptD 3, ConceptD Monitor- CM2241W, Chromebook 315, Chromebook 314, Chromebook Spin 311, Chromebook 311, Nitro XV3 Monitors, C250i portable projector and Planet9 esports platform.

Acer Swift 5

The Swift 5 comes with a 14-inch display with a screen-to-body ratio of 86.4 percent, NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics and a 14.95 mm thin profile. The laptop can be powered by up to a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor with 512 of SSD storage, USB3.1 Type-C, Thunderbolt 3 and WiFi 6 connectivity. The Swift 5 weighs in at 990 grams and offers a 12.5-hour battery life with fast charging. The laptop supports Windows Hello through a fingerprint reader and is housed inside a magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminium alloys chassis.

Acer Swift 5 will be available from September for a starting price of EUR 899 (approx. Rs 71,500).

The Swift 3 features a 14-inch Full IPS display with a screen-to-body ratio of 86.4 percent and a 12.5-hour battery with quick charging that provides 4 hours of charge in 30 minutes. The lightweight laptop comes powered by up to a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor with Iris Plus graphics, an optional discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU, up to 512 GB SSD storage and 16GB RAM. For connectivity, the laptop features Intel 6 and Thunderbolt 3 support.

Acer Swift 3 will be available from September for a starting price of EUR 599 (approx. Rs 47,600).

Acer Aspire C Series

The new Aspire C AiOs are available in 27-inch, 24-inch, and 22-inch Full HD IPS screen options. All three AiOs can be powered by 10th Gen Intel Core processors and an optional discrete NVIDIA MX130 GPU, up to 1 TB SSD, 2TB HDD and 32GB RAM RAM. The new AiOs additionally feature a camera shutter, HDMI-out port for an external screen, four USB 3.1 ports, Acer Vision Care and Acer Bluelight Shield.

Acer Aspire C Series will be available from December for a starting price of EUR 599 (approx Rs 47,600).

Acer ConceptD 9 Pro

The ConceptD 9 Pro comes with a 17.3-inch display (3840 x 2160) and a Wacom EMR stylus with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The device can be powered to up to 9th Gen Intel Core i9 processors and NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 graphics. It will be available from November for a starting price of EUR 5,499 (approx. Rs 4,37,000).

The ConceptD 7 Pro ships with a 15.6-inch 4K display, up to a 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 and weighs in at just 2.1 kg. The device is ideal for data scientists, software developers, engineers and professional design studios and offers a UI with colour profiles and monitoring system controls. It will be available from November for a starting price of EUR 2,599 (approx. Rs 2,06,000).

ConceptD 5 Pro

Available in 15.6- and 17.3-inch IPS display 4K options, the ConceptD 5 Pro will be powered by up to 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and up to NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 graphics. The laptop is designed for use by architects, 3D animators, special effects producers, and small design studios. It will be available from October for a starting price of EUR 2,499 (approx. Rs 1,99,000).

ConceptD 3 Pro

The ConceptD 3 Pro is for digital natives such as photographers, industrial design students, interior and graphic designers. It’s equipped with up to 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and NVIDIA Quadro T1000 graphics and offers true colour reproduction and select operation at less than 40 dB. The device offers to log in through a built-in fingerprint reader that supports Windows Hello. It will be available from November for a starting price of EUR 1,499 (approx. Rs 1,19,000).

ConceptD 5 and ConceptD 3

The ConceptD 5 and ConceptD 3 notebooks are powered by up to 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPUs or GTX 1650 and are available in 15-inch and 17-inch display options. The ConceptD 5 and ConceptD 3 will be available from September and October respectively for starting prices of EUR 1,999 (approx. Rs 1,59,000) and EUR 1,199 (approx. Rs 95,300) respectively.

ConceptD Monitor- CM2241W

The new ConceptD monitor offers a up to 75 and supports 99 percent Adobe RGB colour gamut. The desktop monitor is ideal for users needing an external display for their workstation.

Acer Chromebook 315 / Chromebook 314

The Acer Chromebook 315’s huge 15.6-inch display and the Acer Chromebook 314’s large 14-inch display are available with up to a Full HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) display, wide viewing angles and touch and non-touch models. The Chromebook 315 has a dedicated numeric keypad while both devices come with thin bezels around the large displays. The devices come with two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, Gigabit WiFi and 5.0.

The Acer Chromebook 315 and Chromebook 314 will be available from October for stating prices of EUR 329 (approx. Rs 26,200) and EUR 299 (approx. Rs 23,800) respectively.

Acer Chromebook 311 / Chromebook Spin 311

The Chromebook 311 and Chromebook Spin 311 are both available in 11.6-inch HD touchscreen displays. The Spin 311 comes with an Antimicrobial and optional Wacom EMR Stylus while the Chromebook 311 comes with touch and non-touch versions. The devices come with two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, two USB 3.1 ports, a card reader, Gigabit WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. The Spin 311 also has the option for a world-facing camera for capturing 1080p video.

The Acer Chromebook 311 and Spin 311 can be purchased from October for starting prices of EUR 329 (approx. Rs 26,200) and EUR 249 (approx. Rs 19,800) respectively.

The Acer Nitro XV3 monitors are available in four configurations 27-inch / 165 Hz, 27-inch / 240 Hz, 24.5-inch / 240 Hz and 24.5-inch / 144 Hz. The monitors feature Acer’s latest Agile-Splendor technology, DisplayHDR 400 support and up to 1ms VRB response time. The Nitro XV3 series gaming monitors will be available from September for a starting price of EUR 419 (approx. Rs 33,300).

The Acer C250i supports 1080p footage, a 5-hour battery and and compatibility. It offers up to a 30,000-hour lifespan, 300 ANSI lumens brightness, USB Type-C and Type-A ports support, wireless connectivity and low of less than 100ms. The Acer C250i will be available from January 2020 for a price of EUR 539 (approx. Rs 42,900).

Acer Planet9 esports platform

Acer has also unveiled Planet9, a next-generation esports platform for gamers to build their team, train for excellence and challenge. Planet9 will offer community features and will allow amateur and casual players to participate and play alongside veteran gamers or with friends at similar levels. The platform will offer a Coach feature, Twitch or YouTube live streams, Game Statistics and Scrims to challenge when inside clans. Acer Planet9 is available in closed beta currently.
