iDisplay on Android

iDisplay today announced the launch the Android version of its application.

Many computer users find it useful to extend their display to another monitor because it increases work area. You can even control the display on which your active applications and open windows will be visible.

What if you are able to do this with your Macintosh computer, and your tablet or even your smartphone? iDisplay is an application that makes it possible to extend the display of your Macintosh computer to wireless communications devices such as tablet computers and smartphones.

Earlier, iDisplay was only available as a paid application for Apple devices such as the iPad and iPhone, but with the growing popularity of Android, the developers of this application have come up with an version as well, compatible with all devices running Android 1.5 onwards.

This application uses Wifi to extend the display of you Macintosh computer. The allows the user to choose which items to locate in which display, and it is also compatible with Macintosh computers running Windows 7.

iDisplay, however, is not free. Users need to pay $5 or approximately Rs 250 to buy the app.
