With reports of Reliance Jio starting its operations next month coming, other operators seem to be taking precautionary measures and slashing their prices. Just yesterday, Airtel introduced happy hours for its prepaid customers slashing data prices by 50 percent, though just for few hours.

Now Idea has slashed mobile internet rates, including 4G, and 2G data packs, to up to 45% on sachet packs below 1 GB. Idea currently offers a wide range of 4G/3G/2G sachet data packs priced between Rs 8 and Rs 225.
