Idea Cellular has revised its existing Rs 309 plan to provide more data benefits to its prepaid users. Now under the revised plan, users will get 1.5GB of 4G data, which is an upgrade to the 1GB data offered previously. However, this newly revised plan been updated in few circles like Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh circles.
To further buttress the deal, Idea is also offering 1 GB of additional data for 28 days on this Rs 309 plan if you recharge your Idea prepaid account trough MyIdea app, making a grand total of 43GB of data.
The earlier Idea plan was rolled out with a validity of 28 days which means a total of 28GB of data. Additionally, customers got unlimited local and STD voice calls including incoming and outgoing roaming calls and 1GB 3G data per day and 100 local and national SMS per day.
The revised plan now offers unlimited free local and STD calls on any network along with 100 SMs per day. However, there is a cap on the free calls. Users will get only 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes a week and one cannot call more than 100 unique users in a week. Once the limit is exhausted, then users need to pay 1 paisa per second for calls. The pack comes with a validity of 28 days.
Recently, Idea announced a new range of postpaid plans, called Nirvana. Under this, the telco offers eight plans in total. The new range starts from Rs 389 and goes up to Rs 2,999. All the plans offer unlimited local/STD calling, 100 SMS per day, free international roaming, Idea anti-theft, antivirus and damage protection plan for up 12 months, and free subscription of Idea Movies & TV, Idea Music and Idea Games App for 12 months.
The Rs 389 plan offers 10 GB of data per month with carrying forward option with a limit up to 200 GB while a Rs 499 plan offers 20 GB high-speed data with 200 GB carry forward data limit.
