After announcing that its upcoming EMUI 10 update will land first on the P30 series, Huawei has now started rolling out new firmware to the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro units across the globe. The news comes a month after the Pro model received an EMUI update with DC Dimming and multiple face unlocking.
The latest update on the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro shifts the build number of the devices to EMUI version 126.96.36.199. the highlight of the update comes in the form of a new Night Mode when clicking selfies through the front camera.
After installing the update, users can use the Night Mode inside the camera to get good photos from the front camera in low-lit environments. Night mode clicks multiple shots of the user with different ISOs and stitches them together to get a single detailed image clicked during the night.
Besides that, the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro now receive the latest August 2019 batch of Android security updates.
Users can head over to Settings > System > Software update and tap on ‘Check for updates’ to manually check if their unit has received the update. Users will have to make sure their phone has a minimum of 50 percent battery before proceeding to install the update. The firmware is currently rolling out to users in China and we can expect the same to come to other regions in batches.
