Huawei MediaPad M5 with Android Oreo spotted on GeekBench

Mediapad M5 is expected to be powered by HiSilicon’s octa-core Kirin 960 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM.

Huawei is gearing up to launch the next-generation of MediaPad tablets soon. The tablets have been subjected to various leaks in the past and recently we came across some leaked renders revealing some design aesthetics of the upcoming Huawei MediaPad M5 tablet in 8.4-inch and 10.1-inch displays. Now the Huawei MediaPad M5 has been spotted on GeekBench website. The listing has spilt some beans on the expected specifications of the upcoming tablet.

In the GeekBench listing, via Slashleaks, the Huawei MediaPad M5 got 1905 points in single-core test and in multi-core test it received 6617 points. As per the listing on Geekbench, the Huawei MediaPad M5 has 4GB RAM and octa-core clocked at 1.84 GHz. The handset is based on the 8.0 Oreo operating system. The listing shows the Huawei MediaPad M5 variant with model number SHT-AL09. There is another variant of the tablet with model number SHT-W09.

As per earlier reports, the Mediapad M5 is expected to be powered by HiSilicon’s octa-core Kirin 960 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. It will run on Android Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 operating system. The tablet is expected to feature a fingerprint scanner and Cat. 4 LTE modem. Other features include a 3.5mm and a USB-C port.
