Huawei launches two new WiFi devices

The WiFi devices claims to offer 3 times the speed than the traditional 7.2 Mbps data cards in the market.

Huawei has launched two new WiFi devices – E5151 MiFi (pocket WiFi) and E8131 (WiFi data card). The WiFi devices claims to offer 3 times the speed than the traditional 7.2 data cards in the market, both these WiFi data cards are equipped with faster speeds enabling 21.6 Mbps download and 5.76 Mbps upload speed.

Both WiFi data cards are easy to use and can connect upto 5-10 people at any particular time.

Huawei E5151 is pocket WiFi device that can support upto 10 devices and claims to offer 21.6 Mbps speed. Being a plug and play and one touch connect device, the E5151 assists users to access internet via 3G/2G network or through Ethernet port seamlessly and effortlessly. Its ethernet port also allows users to carry it around and use it as a portable router and when back home or in office, it could get connected with the Ethernet cable to function as a stationary router, offering wireless signal. With Lithium-ion 1500mAh battery, E5151 claims to provide power back up of up-to 5 hours.

With a dimension of 92.8*63.5*16.3mm, Huawei E5151 supports Standard Micro USB, indicators and built-in UMTS and WLAN High Gain Antenna.

Huawei E8131 functions both as a data card for a single user and as a mobile WiFi hotspot, which can simultaneously connect up to five WiFi enabled devices. The dongle comes with a interface and unlike traditional data cards, which can only be powered, via a computer, the Huawei E8131 offers users the flexibility of powering with a variety of USB chargers like a laptop, power mains and car charging port via adaptors, thereby offering true on-the-go connectivity.

Equipped with Type3i technology Huawei E8131 WiFi data card claims to provide up to 20 per cent more upload and download speed compared to non-Type3i devices. It is inbuilt with Hi-Link feature that helps get access to Internet in just 15 seconds, without the hassle of installing any drivers or software.

The Huawei E5151 and E8131 are priced at Rs 4,999 & Rs 2,999 respectively and are available through e-commerce websites including Flipkart, Infibeam, Snapdeal, Shopclues.com, specialty IT stores and multi-brand mobile stores across India.
