HTC has rolled out a software update for HTC Desire 10 Pro smartphone in India which will bring system-related enhancements to the device. Since the update is being rolled out over-the-air, it may take some time before it comes to your device. One can also manually check for the update by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update. The OTA update is of 465MB in size and comes with software version 1.18.400.20 on your phone.
Before you go for the downloading the update, do check that battery of your smartphone. It should have at least 50% charge and 1GB of free space. The HTC Desire 10 Pro was launched in India last year. HTC Desire 10 Pro has a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display with 400ppi pixel density with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, 4 GB of RAM, HTC BoomSound stereo speakers in the front, and Dolby Audio technology. The smartphone comes with a 20-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor, laser autofocus Æ’/2.2 aperture and 27.8mm focal length, Auto HDR mode, Panorama mode, Continuous shooting. For selfies, it comes with a 13-megapixel front camera. The HTC Desire 10 comes with 64 GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded through a micro SD card to up to 2TB. This Android 6.0 Marshmallow based smartphone has HTC’s Sense UI on top and a 3,000 mAh battery with power saving mode which is said to offer upto 19 hours of talk time and 20 days of standby time on 3G network. The device also features a fingerprint sensor on the back.
For connectivity, the Desire 10 Pro dual SIM offers 4G, WiFi, GPS/AGPS + GLONASS, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack and micro-USB 2.0. It comes with the Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Compass sensor, Sensor Hub and Motion G-sensor. The phone measures 156.5 x 76 x 7.86 mm and weighs around 165 grams.
