Google Sites get auto optimizations for Android and iOS

Now viewing Google sites on Android and iOS devices will be much easier for the users as Google will automatically optimize the sites for use on these mobile devices.

Google has added a new and a very smart feature for Google sites specifically for the and users. Now while viewing Google Sites using any of the two smartphones Google will automatically optimise the website for a perfect and an easily readable fit for the smartphone. This new feature will work with any Android device running Android V2.2 and above and iOS device running iOS v 3 and above.

To activate this feature administrators of Google site just need to tweak the settings for the Google site and rest all will be done automatically by Google whenever the website is being viewed by a smartphone.

The most noticeable automatic adjustments include: aligning the header layout and top bar, fitting the width of the site to match the device’s width and smart handling of sidebars, horizontal navigation, and drop-down links.

With this smartphone users now will not have to struggle with the smartphone every time they visit a Google site as the Google engine will automatically re-size the website for the best viewing for a particular smartphone.

Once this feature is enabled for any Google site the same will be reflected in any of the smartphones running Android 2.2+ or iOS 3+. Mobile owners can also preview how the website will look in the mobile version by simply going on to more option and by selecting mobile view.

Sadly there is no news as to will this feature work with any third party web browsing application as well like the Opera Mini, firefox and Bolt mobile web browsers.
