Fujifilm has announced the launch of its Fujinon XF16-80mmF4 R OIS WR lens in India with 5x zoom capability. The 16-80mm lens will be available under Fujifilm’s interchangeable lenses designed for X Series digital cameras.
The Fujinon XF16-80mmF4 comes with a focal length of 16-80mm which is equivalent to 24-122mm in the 35mm format. The lens offers a constant Aperture of F4 and can be used to shoot a subject at a minimum distance of 35 cm.
The lens comes with 5x standard zoom with 6.0 stops for Optical Image Stabilisation for a wide variety of situations including night scene and indoor conditions. It weighs in at 440 grams and when fitted toFujifilm X-T3 mirrorless camera or Fujifilm X-T30 Mirrorless camera, totals 979 grams and 823 grams.
The 16-80mm lens is designed with 16 lens elements in 12 groups. These include three aspherical lens elements, an ED aspherical lens for field curvature control. There’s an inner focus AF system which utilises a stepping motor for focusing quickly and quietly.
Fujinon’s latest lens comes with metal on the outside for premium looks and durability. The lens barrel is sealed at 10 locations making the lens dust and weather resistant and capable of operating at temperatures as low as -10-degree Celsius.
