Flipkart partners with Axis Bank to offer co-branded credit card

Flipkart has announced that it is partnering with Axis Bank and Mastercard to launch its first co-branded credit card in India. The new Flipkart Axis Bank credit card will be available to select users in July.

The company has revealed that it will be expanded to more users in the coming weeks. With the new credit cards, customers will get a host of interesting benefits. To start with, one will get a flat 5 per cent discount on purchases made on Flipkart. Users will also get 5 per cent cashback on purchases made on Myntra and 2GUD. Furthermore, customers will get 4 per cent cashback on transactions made on Uber, PVR, UrbanClap, MakeMyTrip, PVR and Goibibo.

The company has also revealed that one can use the credit card on other online retail stores will get 1.5 per cent cashback. The cashback amount will be automatically credited every month in the account. The brand has further revealed a welcome offer with up to 20 per cent discount at more than 4,000 restaurants. Customers will get Rs 3,300 worth of joining and activation benefits on the Flipkart Axis Bank credit card.

Moreover, customers can access domestic airport lounge four times in a year. Users will also get fuel surcharge waiver up to Rs 500 per month. Coming to the price, customers need to pay Rs 500 as joining fee and one need to pay Rs 500 every year. The yearly fee will be waived off if the user spends over 2 lakh every year.
