Flipkart has announced the launch of five new tablets under its in house brand Digiflip Pro. This range of tablets are powered by Intel Atom processors.
The new tablets namely ET701, XT811, XT801, XT911, and XT901. These tablets are available exclusively on Flipkart and are priced from Rs 5,999 onwards. Earlier this year, Flipkart joined the tablet club with its first tablet, called Digiflip Pro XT712.
Commenting on the launch, Michael Adnani, vice president – retail and head – brand alliances, Flipkart said, “Post the success of the Digiflip Pro XT712, the first tablet to be launched under the Digiflip Pro label, we are excited to announce the launch of five new tablets today. Powered by Intel, these devices are an expansion of our tablet category – and step up on variety and specifications, catering to a range of customer requirements in this segment. Digiflip Pro ET701
It has a 7 inch IPS touchscreen with 1024×600 pixels resolution. This Android 4.2 based tablet has 1.2 Ghz Intel Atom Z2560 processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB ROM, 32 GB micro SD card slot, 2 megapixel primary camera, 0.3 megapixel front camera, and a 2800 mAh battery.
It measures 193.9 x 110.3 x 9.1 mm and weighs 273 grams. This is a WiFi only tablet (no SIM connectivity) and is priced at Rs 5,999.
Digiflip Pro XT 811 / XT 801
Both the Digiflip Pro XT811 and XT801 has the same set of specification, except that the later (XT801) has WiFi connectivity only while the former comes in 3G+WiFi option.
Both these tablets have 8 inch HD IPS display with 1280×800 pixels resolution, 2 GHz Intel Atom Z2580 processor, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, 32 GB expandable storage slot, 5 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera, and a 4200 mAh battery that claims to offer 15 hours of talktime. The XT811 has voice calling facility along with 3G connectivity, WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.0. At the time of writing, the Digiflip Pro XT811 was listed on Flipkart for Rs 10,999. The XT801 is priced at Rs 8,999.
Digiflip Pro XT911 and XT901
The Digiflip Pro XT911 is priced at Rs 15,999 and offers 8.9 inch IPS screen with 1920×1200 pixels resolution, 2 GHz Intel Atom Z2580 dual core processor with hyper threading, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, and 32 GB micro SD card slot. It is based on Android 4.2.2 and has 5 megapixel auto focus rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera.
It has a huge 6500 mAh battery which claims to offer 15 hours of talktime. Besides, this tablet comes with SIM slot for voice calling as well as 3G connectivity. It has WiFi, Bluetooth, and a Micro USB port as well. This tablet measures 150 x 235.5 x 8.5 mm and weighs 483 grams.
The Digiflip Pro XT901 has exactly the same specification as the XT911 except that it does not have a SIM slot and therefore no voice calling or 3G connectivity. Besides, it is a bit lighter measuring 475 grams.
